Creating a different RPG rule set was a necessity to optimize the dynamics he wanted to
explore. Playing many roleplaying games introduced Rui to other ways of randomization, task
resolution, currencies and roleplaying. The 2d20 system developed shares some similarities with other published systems, though so far, nothing quite like Seas of Infinity.  Many games play with Destiny and Fate, though in Seas of Infinity it is baked into the Rolling/Task resolution.

To play with the theme of “Seas”, or “The Cosmic Ocean”, the Seas of Infinity explores Mythology and the Human Condition to create an engaging experience which goes beyond the quick and entertaining skirmishes in a session. The rules observe the classic Epics of mythology and flesh out engaging campaign play. So after dozens play-testing sessions, the Seas of Infinity is ready to complete its workbook and launch a Kickstarter campaign.  So in the Immortal words of E. G. Gygax, please enter gentle reader and be part of what we feel is a wonderful amalgam of Table Top Roleplaying games.

Hello, I'm Rui

Rui Albino has been playing RPGs since the summer of 1981, playing Advanced Dungeons and Dragons. Comics and drawing were Rui’s identity, receiving rewards for his creativity at a young age. He then studied Animation at Sheridan College (Now Tech), after leaving to enter the workforce, Rui had his start in Video Games, designing for Dragon’s Layer, Space Ace (Home versions) and then making some original titles. Rui then spent the next 30 years in TV, Web and Feature Animation as a Designer, Layout artist, and Story Board Artist. Upon turning 40 years of age, Rui added Professor to his many titles and then in 2016, was employed by Ubisoft Toronto as a Cinematic Storyboard Artist.
